Simple Holistic Health is run by me Kate Brown, a lively Hobart based naturopath with a passion for all things healthy. The name Simple Holistic Health is a reflection of my approach to healing, health and wellness. Using a mix of nutritional support, herbal medicine, counselling, homeopathy and education, I can help support you with your wellness goals.

Naturopathic medicine is a system of medicine that focuses on prevention and the use of non-toxic, natural therapies.  It is based on 7 principles:

  1. First, do not harm
  2. Nature has healing powers
  3. Identify and treat the cause
  4. Treat the whole person
  5. The physician is a teacher
  6. Prevention is the best cure
  7. Establish health and wellness

Simple (a. not complicated; plain; not combined or complex)

Often people are confused about what they should be eating and doing in order to be healthy and achieve wellness. With so much information out there on social media, the television and the internet about health, nutrition, diets, exercise it is easy to understand how one can feel overwhelmed about managing their health.  By taking a keep it simple approach I am able to educate and empower my clients to make the best choices for them. 

Holistic (of or relating to holism; relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts)

When looking at what it takes to achieve health, wellness and happiness the individual must be looked at and treated holistically.  This means acknowledging that what we think and feel effects us on a cellular level.  Addressing an individuals mind and emotions is equally as important as the physical support you give the body.
